Finally got around to installing the CAI from my recently deceased 99 XJ. Once I get off my arse and pick up some new gaskets I'll install the TB spacer too.

I also did some work to my little fuel sipper:
I finally installed my upper strut bars. Still have to install the lower, front bar. Maybe some other time.

FYI, the K&N FIPK with a TB Spacer will NOT clear the hood.

FYI, its not a K&N and it does clear the hood. I had the exact same setup on my 99.

Glanced at the setup, and it's very similar to the K&N. Who makes that piece?

AFE
It did rub very slightly on the hood (note the discolored area on the TB side of the sticker) but not enough to hurt anything.

TB spacers are a waste of time and money on an MPI engine. Grab a Dremel and open up the bottom of the TB and you'll get a better performance gain than a TB spacer.

Nice looking Golf Dutch. I miss playing with those.

I just like the whistling noise they make, reminds me of a supercharger. Since I have it I might as well install it.

Thanks, I have a 78 Rabbit too. The 90 Golf is my 6th VW.
