Underhood Light Bulb

How do I get this open and change the bulb? Its on a 99, the light is a square box attached to the underneath of the hood towards the passenger side. I tried to just pry it apart but it felt like it was about to break or rip off its mount. Is there a trick to this?

Pull on one side of the lens. It'll groan and creak.

just pry the plastic lense off. chances are it will not matter, that blub is very picky. my blub is good but it hardly ever works. i have to tap it a few times to get it to come on
