Most of you Northern Utah guys know about the Bountiful Jeep Posse. Most of what I know is they have a bunch of red trucks and they ride in the parade each year. I know they are involved in search and rescue and I took my hunter safety class a bunch of years ago at their club house.
I had to laugh at the Bountiful 24th of July parade when the Jeep Posse came by. There was just one Jeep left in their club and it had a for sale sign in it.
Maybe it is time they change their name to the Bountiful Truck Posse.

Sad... but true. Actually, using the words "Bountiful" and "Posse" together is kind of an oxy moron :)

I thought that it would be kind of cool to join up with them, but when I talked to them I was outcasted because my Jeep wasnt red. I was welcome to tag along but I could not be an official member and no stickers because the Jeep is blue. :passgas:

From what was seen at the last BBQ it might not be to long before you may feel like and outcast in the IC if you do not have a white XJ. :wierd:

Hey, I saw that "Jeep" posse in the parade too. I was wondering why they called it a "Jeep" posse. Guess I can't join either because mine is green.

nope if your not the right color your not accepted. I think that it is Jeep Racism. I though we were in the society to get rid of that kind of thinking.

Wow. I'm not racist at all. If it's an XJ that's been lifted and looks somewhat decent (no major body damage), then I'm cool with it.

Ready for a distorted History Lesson?
back in the day the Davis County Sherrifs Search and Rescue used to be called Davis County Jeep Patrol...as you can see by the door in this pic.
(sorry for it's size...I wanted you to see the emblem)

At that time Davis County Jeep Patro and Bountiful Jeep posse were made up enirely of Jeep vehicles. See at the time there wasn't very many other vehicles that had the cabibilites of a Jeep.
They also used to travel together quite often.

No...in fact I was going to say that in my post. Back in the 50,s and 60's both Davis and Bountiful were very social oriented. They held a lot of parties and things. Davis Co went the way of professional Search and Rescue and Bountiful kind of stayed on the social side of things.

Cool pics.
Bountiful kind of stayed on the social side of things.
A couple different times in my life I have heard rumors of them being "really social". party1::shocked: I'm sure if this happened it was back in 70's.
Not to make any accusations, I'll just put in quotes a few lines from a great movie. "Raising Arizona"
What am I talkin' about? I'm talkin' about sex boy, what the hell you talkin' about? I'm talkin' about l'amour! I'm talkin' that me and Dot are swingers, as in "to swing." I'm talkin' about wife swappin'. I'm talkin' about what they call nowadays open marriage.

The nose broke off that boat on Willard bay and it sank.
So much for wood boats. :D
