Bellhousing ticking noise.

The bellhousing on my jeep is making a ticking noise. The tick increases speed and volume as I accelerate however sometimes it won't even tick at all. Sometimes it's loud and other times it's not. I am stumped.

If it's and automatic, then you probably have a loose torque convertor bolt or a cracked flexplate.
