Well, with Steve resigning, I have assumed the role of President per the bylaws. In this event we must hold an election to fill that role of VP.
Before holding nominations or anything like that, I would like to know via PM who would be interested in this position. I would like to have someone that would also be willing to commit to running for the same position come November when elections are due to commence again for the full 2 year term. This chapter is still new and we have seen 2 presidential changes and 2 different treasure's as well and I think we need to have some stability in the future.
I have already talked to our current treasurer to have him think about running again in November and I have decided to run for President again come November in an effort to give this chapter some stability in its leadership.
I will be talking to a few people that I have in mind while at the event and then after the event we will hold official nominations. So, if your interested please talk to me about it if your coming to rockfest or PM me directly.
Also, I would like to add another position to the chapter. I would like to add an event coordinator position. This person would be the sole person in charge of scheduling and organizing all "official" events for our chapter. We will do this in the November elections so start thinking if you are the right person for that job and are willing to stick it out for 2 years.
In closing, Please put your thinking caps on and bring your discussions to the rockfest and we can talk more about this at the event. I think we can make this chapter grow and have more events in the future, and I would like to have as much involvment as we can from you guys.

P.S. Please keep in mind that you MUST have had your name in RED for atleast 6 MONTHS in order to be considered for a BOD position in November. So if your interested and not in red yet, JOIN up and get involved.
