He was in bad shape for a couple of weeks. He was a great ambassador for all things outdoors.
I had hoped to get my dogs on "snap shot of the week" this fall. He will be missed.

I was lucky enough to get to wheel with him during Jeep Safari 2000, with his Utah Outdoors camera crew in tow. He interviewed several of us during the day, wanting to hear the OHV-ers opinions on multiple use of our public lands and trails in the Moab area. We ran Spike backwards to the Crack and he was amazed at what our rigs could do. He had a great time and I even saw my Jeep on TV for about 7 seconds when the program aired.
Gonna miss his booming voice and down to earth style of reporting on the outdoors........
