I saw in one of the rags where the liberty Diesel was scrapped and the Grand is getting a new one. The one in the Grand sounded nice too, Maximum power is 160 kW (218 hp DIN) and peak torque is 510 Nm (376 lb.-ft.) from just 1800 rpm. Sound like a nice replacement for the 4.0l with the torque down at that rpm. Anyone else see this and wonder if it would ever make the Wrangler? That would be a nice trail engine if it is reliable IMHO.
