summit electric fan switch relay location???

i have searched and searched but cannot find the answer im looking for.
1989 xj 4.0 renix aw4
i ordered an electric fan from summit racing and a relay switch kit(200 on and 185 off) to swap out my mech fan, i don't want to only rely on remembering to turn on a switch .

my question is where do i mount the fan switch/sensor (3/8 npt thread)
the instructions say either the head or intake manifold, but i cannot find a tapped hole. all help will be greatly appreciated.

Get yourself a 91+ thermostat housing and mount it on your 89.The temp probe will mount in there.

As said, get a later thermostat housing, and use that. It's drilled and tapped 3/8" NPT.

For the relay, put it wherever is convenient. Somewhere near the battery would be ideal - the shorter the main power leads are, the better all around.
