I did search before posting this and didnt find much help.
Okay i have my Transmission pan off of a 87 Jeep Wagoneer
Had a problem i could not get the Fill Plug out for the life of me it just sits in the pan and spins. The previous owner apparently RTV the heck out of the drain plug so it would not leak.
How do yall reccomend get this plug out to find out what is wrong next.
The chrome metal circualr thing on the back of the pan that the 14mm seats into does not spin only the bolt. Doesnt look like there is any thing i can grab on to that would work like a nut. I have tried applying pressure to the other end. I am about to go to the Junk Yard and buy a new pan but just want to hear some suggestions.
Thanks
Oh and thank yall for letting me know to use DEX III. Autozone insisted atf+4
Here are some pics of my problem
and then the inside
I done got this thing so clean and ready for Paint so i dont want to have to clean another one of these
