input spline question

I have a 91 np231 from a YJ. I haven't taken it off the trans (manual) yet. Might anyone know what the input spline count may be?

21 or 23, im hoping that was info you didnt know

it whould be 23, if 4.0 and 21 if it's a 4 banger.

what's the deal on XJ's? I need to go to a yard and pull a t-case on saturday. How do I tell if it's the right spline count without yanking it off the tranny first?

nvm, 90+ are 23, 89 and older are 21.

Terrific. it's from a 4cyl. but I'm going to put it on a 4.0 ax15 manual set up so there will be some changes needing to be made.
