po0442 evap emission control leak small

So I scanned my CEL on the 99 Cherokee sport and got the following code...

po0442 small evap emission control leak small

I did a search on here but found nothing. I assume it's a vaccume leak but haven't located any cracked hoses or loose attachments. Has anyone had this problem before? What did you do to fix it?

these leaks start out small, and then get bigger...and can be as simple as a bad gas cap, or very hard to locate....

X2 on the gas cap, they do go bad from time to time, or maybe someone forgot to tighten it all the way after filling up....:doh:

Thanks guys. I changed my gas cap in November so I doubt it's that, but you never know.

It's been almost a week and the CEL has not come back. Lets see what happens next.
