I was putting on new extended front soft lines on my 87 mj, and when i went to remove the frame end of the line, the fitting on the hardline was rounded off. Does anyone have any tips that could help me to remove them?

ditto, you are throwing them out anyway

x a billion on vise grips. Ive used them many times for that exact purpose.

VISE GRIPS ARE STRIPOMATICS...GET A REAL PAIR OF PLIERS THEY ARE CALLED "KNIPEX" THEY HAVE SEVERAL DIFFERENT MODELS. THE MECHANICAL ADVANTAGE OF THESE ARE PHENOMENAL.

Whatever you use, vise grips or some new magical tool, or even proper flare nut wrenches on unrounded ones, don't just try yank them off all at once. If they're rusted on, get the wrench tight on the nut and then wiggle it back and forth.
