d30 vacuum disco axle help

i just put in a d30 vacuum disco axle into my 1998 jeep cherokee. i was wondering what i need to to do with wires coming from the vacuum. i had no choice with axles. is it safe for me to drive without the vacuum activated. i have been looking for a writeup on this but couldnt find one. thanks

It's fine to run around without it hooked up. You just won't have 4wd.
Lots will tell you to eliminate the disco or use a cable setup. I, however, suggest using a pneumatic switch to actuate the vac motor.

Sometimes I wish i had a disco axel for my '00. the 2lo it affords you is awesome on the rocks. Axel shaft strength keeps me from going that route, however.
