Steering column question on a YJ

I am trying to help a friend with his YJ. This thing has been kludged together by a previous owner due to a wreck. These things have what appears to be a GM column. It is a tilt wheel and column shift. The whole steering wheel assy moves around. On my old Astro van that had a column similar to this, there were four bolts way down in the column that would loosen up and cause the problem, so I started taking the column apart.

I removed the wheel and everything including the turn signal switch assy. I pulled the plastic/metal assy with the metal spring arms. I can't get the shroud off due to the cylinder not comming out. It has been 7 years since I tore a column down this far.
What is the secret to getting the lock cylinder out? Unlike an XJ, this column does not have the metal thing around the key to help turn the mechanism. I think the PO either broke it or left it off.

There are some minor differences but most are close to the same.

Take out the hold down screw for the cylinder, remove the buzzer contacts from the very end of the cylinder (this will also hold the switch in and make removing it impossible) watch the little "V" shaped spring that holds the buzzer switch in place.
You can likely pry the switch out once the buzzer switch is removed, the rod that slides in the end of the tumbler may have tension on it from the park lock.
