I've said it before and I'll say it again - if you think your life sucks so bad you want to off yourself, go ahead. Just don't take anyone with you - chances are, the people you'd try to take with you are doing what you are not - making the best of what they've got. If you're jealous of that - fine. "Living well is the best revenge."

It's how I got even with my old man. I've only been married once (still am,) together longer than his longest, and I've gotten where I am without having to cheat or steal my way into it. Just burns him up...

"Hey...
A cowardly gunman dressed in a suit and tie walked into a Wendy's restaurant in Palm Beach County (Florida) at lunchtime today, killing a Palm Beach County Fire-Rescue Lieutenant who was on his lunch break. The lunatic then went on shooting four others before turning the gun on himself. The Palm Beach County Fire-Rescue Lieutenant was taking a lunch break from training and met his wife and child at the restaurant. The 42-year-old Firefighter and his family had just left the restaurant when he returned to retrieve a toy his child had left behind. The Lieutenant was shot in the back as he stood at the counter.
Our condolences to all those affected.
Take Care,
BillyG

What the hells wrong with people? Stuff like this is happening more and more frequently these days.

However, as a Christian, the Bible does tell us that as we near the end, things are gonna keep getting worse and worse. I'm not saying its going to all end tomorrow, next month, or even 10 yrs from now, just saying, we can expect more of the same. Fun huh? :thumbdn:

Seriously though, I just bought my first Kevlar vest a few months ago for work, its sad that anyone should have to do that, even worse if I have to seriously consider wearing it to class, or to the mall..that could have been any one of us in Wendy's, the fact that it was a brother, it hits even closer to home...God, sure ther's a God but humanity brings this on itself...

Okay,

Here's a question for you:

Is Wendy's liable for punitive damages because their mistake resulted in the fireman to returning to the store - and to his death?

If the toy had been in the kids meal, he would be alive today.

===

Before you think I'm betting petty, consider the following:

If I had been that man, and if I were lying stone cold in the freezer, I sure hope to hell that some attorney was helping my wife sue the heck out of Wendy's.
She and my three kids wouldn't last forever on my life insurance.

I'd be going after the shooters estate if he had any. But then I *hope* he had no family, what a thing to live with as a wife or child.

He was there with his wife and kids.
He went back inside to get the missing toy, and that's when he got shot.
His wife and kids were waiting for him in the parking lot.

He was talking about the shooter, not the fireman.
