I love cheap fixes!

So Rambo came over this weekend to wrench and have a few brews, basically have fun! Well, I finally solved my overheating issue it seems. There was a short in the electric fan wiring, 1/8 inch up or down and no voltage. So we just bypassed it and (for now) the fan is on whenever the engine is....I'll probably toggle-switch it this week.

I asked Rambo to pop his hood and start his Jeep so I could check something out, and the second he turned the key fuel was shooting about 3 feet in the air from one of his injector lines! I told him I wouldn't let him drive it that way (there is a rumor going around that fuel in the engine compartment can cause minor issues) so we hit the local parts house. This is what we found, and let me tell you, it WORKS!

We wrapped it up with that tape, let it sit a bit and boom, no more leak! We were VERY impressed, and for 10.00, I would suggest every NAXJA member have some of this on hand!! Too many uses to even name, it's just pretty good stuff!

That blows me away, Fuel leaks at that pressure are normally impossible to fix with a tape. Must have!!!

Well the cats out of the bag now.
I bought a 92 5Speed 2WD XJ last week down in Santa Ana and it had it fist problem a week later. Back into "Just Emptying Ever Pocket" again WooHoo

***UPDATE***

Rambo just showed up at my pad, and the miracle tape is STILL HOLDING. Best 10 bucks ever spent, just thought I'd pass along that it isn't necessarily a trail fix, this crud will last a loooong time!!

this stuff is at the trade show in Anaheim it seems to be really good stuff. and the sales rep isnt bad looking either for a tall chick

I have 3 rolls in my 5th wheel a roll in the XJ and 3 in the garage....... Good stuff........ I believe they claim it was developed for the US Army...
