Im in the process of cleaning out my nss using the writeup on Jeepin.com, http://www.jeepin.com/features/nss/index.asp How much grease do I put on the brass contacts? Just a thin coating that will cover the contacts or do I want to get the entire thing greased up.

just use enough di-electric grease to cover the terminals, you don't need too much.

The dielectric will displace air if you pack it quite full.

I've used both di-electric and lythium, the lythium holds up longer. I have used Lucas Red N Tacky with really good results as well.

It doesn't take much. Dieletric grease works, but I tend to prefer Ox-Gard. I also like to put a thin layer of RTV black on the mating surfaces for the shell - helps to keep crap out once it's installed.

Thanks for the info guys, I used some white lithium and it seems to be working fine.
