Well, Jeeping season is over for the next 6 weeks, the Archery deer hunt starts in the morning(08/19) and the archery Elk starts next Thursday(08/24).
I will be keeping everyone abreast of the hunt, with weekly updates every few days:D
This first trip is only for the weekend,(work brings me home Sunday afternoon), But the adventure will continue next Thursday with a weeklong trip after the elusive Wapiti, or most know as Yellowstone Elk.
But as most know, with hunting and Jeeping, it's the getting out, away from the day to day life, Sharing campfires with friends, enjoying the Utah outdoors and maybe the chance to put some meat in the freezer..
anyway, till Sunday, everyone, be good to yourself and those around you..:D

Thanks guys!
Well, after a LONG weekend, nothing to show yet, I did have my chance Saturday morning:mad: I'll I can figure is I used the wrong pin, range finder said 42 yards, but I shot well low of a really nice four point.
One thing this year tho, we were seeing alot of really nice bucks, personally I saw 10-12 bucks in the 25 to 28 inch range, the closest I got to one of the was 136 yards(about 90 yards short of a shot:D )
I have a few pictures of Moose, a couple bucks and some scenery. I'll get those posted when I get home from work tonight.
Leaving agian on Wednesday for week, can't wait:thumbup:
nice thought is, when the hunt ends, only 2 weeks to the Fall Fling..

Well, I am still at home tonight instead of sleeping in a tent and dreaming of Elk tomorrow morning.
Shelly got hurt at work this morning, might have ruptured a disk, SO, we have a SPECIAL Doc's appointment in the morning, with all the fun stuff. Instead of a 6 week hunt, this may turn into a one week hunting season...
I'll keep ya posted.......

This whole deal BLOWS with a scale of 10 billion, the hunts are over, and the Fall Fling will be a passing thought, along with everything that does not make me sound selfish..:D
Ok, you all know I am not serious here on the board, so I am not sure what to write to make you think I am serious,:dunno: anyway...
Hey, maybe I can make the Club meeting this week..:D

Hey...at least she hurt it at work. I am down with a similar problem and mine isn't work related.
Maybe we can go visit that "special" doctor together...I think I am going to end up at the same place. :D
Tell her to get well soon.

The intial prognoses is Shell's ok, they don't think it's a "serious" back injury. we have another Doc's appointment next Tuesday, but until then, she just needs to take it easy(HA, sounds more like 5 days off to me:D)
So, she gave me the ok to head to the hills today, where we are going has really cell service, so she can reach me if needed, and my mom is just down the street she's in good hands.
and she wanted to tell you thanks for your support.
So, till Sunday afternoon Gents....Enjoy, I know I will:D

Congrats!
I hope Shelley's feeling better. The Chiropractor is the ticket for me. He took me from tied in knots and big pain to touching my toes in a liitle over a week.
Man, I gotta go Wheeling. What am I doing responding to this thread after midnight...

Welp, at least you saw something!
We saw 2 deer the opening weekend and we could have had them both with the front of the truck! Too bad they were does!
We hunted the North Slope of the Uintas and never saw a deer!!! Lotsa tracks and beds but I'll be gall damned if we saw a deer!
Gonna hit down around Nebo Labor day weekend. My Step-dad and mom live in Moroni and he says they have seen a few good racks there the past couple weekends.
Good luck to the wife and hopefully you can find a "wife-sitter" and get out again!
