Auto headlamps

I've only seen one xj with this feature. 92 larado. Has tinted dome sensor on dash. Is this a pretty common thing? I would like to get it set up on mine. I have the security lamp feature, and want to tie them together and see if they work together. 1-2 punch, turn off ignition and then headlight switch and the head lamps only stay on for 30 sec and then shut off. Hope to have auto lights, when key shut off, sensor shuts off after, and sets off the security feature auto everytime (at night of course). Think it would work? would it allow me to bypass the light switch? I could use stock switch to light up rock lights and roof lights or something else.
