Nothing around Columbia anymore unless ya want a ticket. We've been going to Gulches ORV Park in Laurens, Uwharrie National Forest which is East of Charlotte, and Tellico on rare occasions.

yeah i just got my new tires mounted and balanced and headed to gulches this weekend and noticed something messin up so i didnt take my xj and rode with a bud and on the way home my rear tire came off and hit a kia my brake drum got messed up and i'm out of commission for a bit.... i guess its time to upgrade my axle maybe, who knows! let me know if anyone has any good advice for the situation! and cola sucks all there really is around here is the dust bowl on bluff road but that gets old quick esp when you can do just about most of the stuff in a stock xj... but heck if someone has room i may help with gas to ride... dunno though

What did you break? Or did a tire just come off?

uhhh my tire just came off and so that messed up my break drum cuz it slammed off and i think my d35 might be ok but the every part of the breaks seemed to be bent up in that drum and my lugs are stripped etc.... so i pinced off my rear breaks cuz i had to take them apart to get the drum back on... i dunno i'm gettin it checked out today so i guess i'll see what the damage is if the axle is busted i am gonna have to do some really quick d44 swap or something cuz i dont want to put money into a crappy d35

An 8.25 will swap directly in and it's dirt cheap. I got mine free, driveshaft and all.

Actually a guy I work with bought an XJ and swapped out my D35 for his 29 spline 8.25. Yup, got it free and he did the work too. His reasoning was he saw what I could do with a locked front and Trashloc rear. He didn't wanna fork out the cash for a rear Powertrax so he traded straight up with me. I then put a rear locker in:D Doubtfully you'll find the deal I did but you can get a 29 spline 8.25 with driveshaft for about $250-300 complete. Look around.

Well If its just brakes that is easy just replace the drum. I have a few I believe, and replace the internal parts. As for cheap axles good luck, arround here they are $500 reguardless......
