I got my new cherokee out today for the first time. The old xj did great on it's 20 year old stock suspension. My new lift will be here tomarrow, already took the rear leifs apart.
Anyway we started at the south entrance went about 3mi in and went down into a big wash and up the other side, then I saw a big hill I didnt want to try it with bad tires and I was alittle chicken. Is the rest of the trail the same as that section does it smooth out alittle? My kids didnt like all the bouncing but they are alittle sick today. I dont think this was a good trail for them to start on. Any other trails around? Next time I go i'll see if anyone else wants to go.

bulldog canyon is a great trail to start on!!! majority of it is fairly smooth. if you want someone to go with post a time to meet htere. I have not been there in a few years and would love to go for a drive!
when yo uget the new suspension on maybe the ride will smooth out for you. airing down helps with that alot too

Maybe going north to south would be better. I had my tires at 25 psi maybe I should let them down to 20psi. New lift, new tires, new ride:roll: . I might go next sunday, I'll let you know. It would be better to go with someone the first time as I am new to AZ fourwheeling.

the coves are good trails too...located behind saguaro lake the butcher jones recreation area. Nice trails not nearly as rocky as bulldog so kids might like it better. Lots of places to stop by the water too...

bhorocks and jpslickrocks know their way around back there. I'm sure you could coax them into a run. And I'd like to go too (c:

I can go on this sunday. I just put my lift in and want to try it out. Also want to learn the trails. It sounded like a few of you were in. The earlyer the better for me. Let me know I'am going no matter what, with my kids.

B's little girl is 15 months old. Butcher Jones is a fun place to play around. There is stuff there for all skill levels. I am booked this weekend as well or I would be game to go cruise around a bit.
