Rubbing on Rear Swaybar

I just put a set of 31s on my XJ and the inner lip of the tire is rubbing quite a bit on the top of the rear swaybar. It pretty much melted a ring around the tire after test driving it around the block. The tires are 31x10.5 on TJ canyon rims. Should I just remove the swaybar?

What is a rear sway bar? Yeah, get rid of that thing...but hang onto it just in case you need it for inspection or something.

I got only a tad bit more body roll when I removed my rear sway bar, but that's only when going through a tight corner at speed.

Still in doubt? Up Country edition XJ's didn't even come with rear sway bars.

I removed my rear swaybar when my XJ was still stock. I didn't notice any difference and I was looking for one.
