and a CB can always come in more handy than a cell if you wheel in BFE

A camera and a good friend.

Damn I'm gay.

to the above I would like to add...

ive got a whistle in my truck that i bring boating or when i go out to colorado to snowboard, its loud as all hell. CB or cell phone would work better obviously, but i like having a sure fire backup due to murphys law.

You need to be in RED to get the NAXJA sticker

What you bring is dependent upon the type and length of trail you are running.

As mentioned above you need to be a member to get the sticker, I'll add this, you need to be a member to attend without being someones date.

The by laws state. Each Member may invite not more than one (1) guest vehicle to attend each Event.

what size tow straps are people using thickness, length, and does anyone
still use chains?
In my opinion, chains are for securing loads to truck beds. They are injuries just waiting to happen when used to tow vehicles...

LOL, yeah RIGHT rip that thin right out. Wrap it around the axel!
damn, you could detect the sarcasm in the typing even??:D

Sticker or no sticker, some form of food & water.

Hard lesson learned night wheeling a year ago after snapping
my winch cable....(My fault)....6hrs later & using a high-lift
as winch, tieing & untieing knots in the snapped cable as
recovery, my bloody hands would have loved to have been
holding on to a Snickers bar & a jug of water right about then.

I'll leave it at that, anything more.....I could end up in court.

ALWAYS take care of YOURSELF before your Jeep.

-water and/or gatorade
-food
-sleeping bag
-tent
-gun

Now that your taken care of, we can take care of your Jeep.
-winch, especially if you wheel alone
-tow strap
-spare axles/ujoints
-a decent set of tools, I use Sears/Craftsman because if you break them they replace them for free
-Fix a flat
-hi lift jack

This is optional but I think its an excellent item to carry. A Honda minibike. These little machines fit in the back of a Cherokee easily and can save your butt if you need help and can't drive anywhere. http://hondatrail70.com/

Adaquate spare and full size spare are two different things in my eyes. Sorry if that came off as assish, it's not how it was meant. Also the sway bar as a tow point had gotten me out several times trying to get back to the trailhead after ripping off an aftermarket "reinforced" tow point. Don't doubt it, it won't let you down in a pinch.

unless that axle is buried. but then you'll prolly rip the sway bar out anyhow pulling it out....a better place is the drag link or tie rod.......JUST KIDDING!!!!

I like to bring with me:
food
drink
extra clothes to change into if the weather changes
a pair of cover all type work clothes
a sleeping bag
shovel
a container to hold at least 6qts (for trail repairs)
but most of all........

ANOTHER VEHICLE! never leave home without another vehicle, either leading or following. if you go out alone, you're asking for trouble.

BEER and lots of it. Remember you can pour beer into a rad but you can't pour water into me.
TP and lots of it you can start a fire with it, TP a house, With a peace of duct tape and TP make a Band-Aid. Write on it. Drop a peace ever now and then for a trail to find your way back. TP a house. In the old days it did in a pinch for a rolling paper. Pad ANYTHING.
