diff fluid

is it possable to add to much diff fluid? what will happen if i put a butt load in? I have a pinion bearing going out, and the experts I talked to at work tell me that they don't go out unless not properly lubricated. I have kept the level up, I thought, but maybe I need to add more? (after I change the bearing)

Once the fluid comes back out of the fill hole that is full. Don't add anymore. So I don't think you can over fill it.

if you do manage to overfill it. oil will come out the vent tube and/or seals will start taking a dump on you.

You can't fix a bad bearing with more fluid, thats just like unscrewing a pregnant chick.
