winch problem

hey guys i picked up a Warn XD9000i Winch with no remote i picked up a remote @ tsc.

my winch has 3 pins in the plug. the remote i bought from tsc has 5. when i try remote with 5 pins it goes in but not out??? anyone have any info on this.. guy i bought it from said i has the newist motor from warn and was freshly rebuilt so im kinda wondering whats going on..when i look for the replacement part # for the remote its the same one that i bought but it does not work???

any info would be awesome
