have xj with slight power loss going up long hills,fuel pump ok,no missing,l replaced the header with 1 from up on ebay,didnt think about it at the time,could the header tubes be a smaller dia,cutting down on theflow,like partly restricted,knw its not the cat.any ideas?

I wouldn't imagine that they'd have a smaller diameter tube that what the stock one was........have you tried doing a tune up and changing the plugs and wires and stuff like that??

all of the tune up stuff is new,it just seems like partly restricted exhust,which l know the cat or the muffler is not.
