Hey guys,
I will be vacationing in the area north of Salida the week of September 9th. I will only have my wifes rig with us, anyone want to show us a trail in the neighborhood?
Nothing too serious, its a 99' open/open on a 2" BB sitting on 245/70/R16 Bridgestone duelers. For some reason I can't get her to put my rig in the shop to have a spooled d-44/ custom long arm setup installed and then drive my 6" lifted rig that far.:rattle:

Is that LD weekend?
Never mind...I just checked the calendar. Your hatin' it. There is a very high likelihood that about 3 of us will be over that direction doing some very minor wheeling (a stocker could do it) up to a hunko Holy Water. We'll be there over the holiday weekend though. Sorry man.

There is also Iron Chest just out side of Beuna Vista(St. Elmo actually). Not far from Salida. I did it in a 91 Exploder with 2" and 31's. It's and up and back trip, but pretty cool. Blanca peak is out there too.

yeah, I wasn't too keen running up any trails solo in that rig, I took the winch from my rig in preperation, but with no lockers and a 30/35 combo and no spares I am not so confident.

So I have established that I will be free to roam on Saturday, September the 16th, anyone for a run somewhere.
On a side note, I searched but I can't find the thread I started about moving to Colorado, it wasn't in my post history and I have some questions.
What are property taxes like there? What about cost of living? I have seen the real estate prices jump about 50k since I first started looking there, and maybe after my stint here in Turkey I will have enough money to sell my land and transplant the family there. It really would have been nice if the prices could have stayed only godawfully unreasonably high though.
Now they're super ultra mega stupidly high, plus a bit.
