So, today I went out to the garage to do something to the Jeep again, didn't know what, but just do anything.
Well, I decided to try flipping the leaf springs and lengthening the wheelbase 6".
I got the jackstands out.
Found the floor jack.
Pulled the tires and cast them aside.
Pulled the upper shock mounts, dropped the axle, blah blah blah.
Then, the axle slipped in the jack cup.:doh:
Driveshaft flies apart! Brakeline snaps!
FU*K!
So, I roll the crappy stupid axle out of the way and pull a leaf off.(my bolts come out easily every time)
Got to looking around.
Know I'm gonna need to make a new drive shaft.
Relocate upper shock mounts.
But, crap, I'm gonna have to cut off and put new perches on to correct my driveline angles.
I'm also gonna need to get new bushings for the springs.
Relocate the bumpstops.
And finally the dreaded gas tank reality.:tears:














So, I put it all back together and decided to weld on it.

I don't have the money to nickel and dime myself into what's probably gonna suck, as far as bad leaf geometry and lose my breakover.
But, I get to buy a new brakeline, so the night wasn't a total loss.:wierd:
