Here it is in the driveway. Somewhere I do have pictures of it on the trail, but I think they are on a computer or two ago. Notice the four wheel patch, I was testing out my recent permanent install of the pneumatics for the air lockers. They work. Notice also the air horn on the roof, it also works. :attom:

Heep has changed a little!

I had a RE 3.5 with AAL, .75" spacer and TNT 1" shackles.

I started collecting parts in January and installing them in April.

BOR 4" leafs with the TNT shackles
RE 4.5" coils and the same .75" spacer.
RE drop brackets/braces
TNT adjustable UCAs
AA SYE/Tom Woods drive shaft
33/12.5 BFG AT replaced the 31s
Trimed front fenders....going to trim back.

The 4" of lift and 31s just left my center of gravity way too high, so I decided to lower it and trim some more. It's much more stable now.

I just find that picture amusing since you can't tell there's a big hole there without a rig in it!

Just got done with 5.5 RE SA lift in the front. And what a guy told me was 4 inch leafs. Leafs and 2 inch shackle lift. Doen't look like 6 in does it? Look more like 4 in total. Have to order new leafs later this month. Tires are 35s.

All right, here's mine. Stock but with 235/75/15. Kind of a p.o.s. right now, but it runs. Needs LOTS o lovin. TREs, ball joints, shocks, no-sag leaf springs, stuff to stop the oil hemorrhaging, armor, recovery points. Can't complain for $500 +2 more for the wheels/tires.

Here's my rig, my third XJ but the first I've actually done any mods to. She took a little rock hit to the front axle courtesy of borrowing it to a friend of mine...figured since his insurance was taking care of it I might as well do a few 'upgrades'. Just put in the RE 3.5" suspension and M/T wheels and tires about a week ago...in the process of upgrading the audio system - after putting the Baja Claws on it needs it. Haven't done too much off road yet but hope to change that soon-I'm always down for trailrides/camping trips around the Denver area...

Just picked this sweet one up the other day for 800 bucks! I'm back in the XJ world after a long break...! '95 sport, 4.0/Ax/231. 158K miles, runs like a top, non smoker with a SUPER clean interior and nice stereo. All fluids changed in the last 5K miles. Runs like a top, and I have all the maintenance records from the original owner since new including every oil changes and tire rotation, almost all of them done at the dealership!!!! This dude was picky! haha! I need to source the whole header panel and a matching passenger side fender(Troy...?) in the same color, a new electric fan, and replace a u joint on the rear drive shaft... For now until I get some more cash she will remain stock with the exception of 2" shackles i have sitting around that I will throw into the rear end to level her back out... Oh, and the oil on the driveway isn't from her!!!! So now the fun begins once again!!!! I will update pics as she progresses!

92 Jeep w/ 4.0, XJ AW4, twin sticked D300 (4:1 soon), GM D60 4.56's ARB, GM 14bolt 4.56's Detroit, 8 XJ's worth of leafsprings front and rear, full cage, and working on boatsides now. Full hydraulic steering w/ PSC double ended ram. No more body mounts as the tub, roll cage, and frame are all fully integrated together thus making it a unibody rig with square headlights.... aka XJ. :D

Eventually I'll maybe get a new door to fix the dented drivers door. Next up it's gonna get flat blacked, last weekend was too cold though. I also put a little grant steering wheel in it and a magnaflow glasspack on it. Gonna rig up some speakers in the rear where the cupholders are. Also, just got some IRO BPE's on order, when those come in I'll put my JK shocks in.

Just got my Cherokee last spring. Gonna slowly build it. So far got a roof rack, bars, getting a Dana 44 put in this weekend. Have disconnects and a 3" lift ready also. Just gotta save up for a few other things.

Whats going on? My name is Eric, I'm new to NAXJA, but stoked to be here. Last year I got out of the Marine Corps and didn't know what I wanted to do. Ended up buying my 95 Country Edition about 6 months ago. I'm still in the process of getting my license back, so I can't drive it, so I decided to start working on it... Theres a whole lot of work done to it so far...Too much for my lazy @$$ to sit here and list...but here's the before and after so far:

These forums have helped me SO FRICKIN' MUCH!!! its not even funny. I wen't from knowing basically nothing about Jeeps or vehicles for that matter... to building up my own XJ to where its at now. I give myself credit for being a hands on fast learner, Already had the tools and basic know how to turn wrenches and weld, just never applied it to vehicles really, other than you general maintenance. So, 6 months later, I'm a XJ-aholic and can't get enough. I swear I'm gonna go blind from starring at this damn computer for so many countless hours of research and knowledge consumption. I thank everyone for all their input and knowledge that you have shared to the XJ masses!!! Semper Fi!!!

Hey guys, I've been lurking for awhile but figured I'd post up my XJ. It's a '96 base model that was used by the Park County Sheriff's Office as a patrol vehicle. It's not a special service package though, just a base model. It has a I6, AX-15 and 8.25 with 242k on the odometer. Amazingly the A/C still works on her. I love this thing and can say that it's the best car I've ever owned. Future plans would be a 3" lift, 31" tires, aussie locker in the back with 29 spline upgrade if needed (may already have one). Definaly need a regear and I'm thinking about 3.55's since I want to keep my rpm down due to the fact I drive 100 miles a day to and from work.
