Someone stole the stock silver fender flares for me off of my XJ. If by some odd stroke of luck anyone sees some that seem out of place or hear anything, please let me know. It would be highly appreciated.

Thanks

Of all the things to steal off a jeep, why the heck did they still stock fender flares. That seems ridiculous to me.

Coming from Idaho, a state with only air inspections, I can think of a protruding reason.

Guessing some loser when out and thrashed their rig and popped the flares off.....so they went theiving for replacements......stupid attachment design anyway, as for theives :twak: :twak: :twak: :twak: :twak: :twak: :twak:

Yeah, you could have found your Jeep wearing yellow ones instead!

Are they really that easy to take off? My only experience is with the old flares that were a royal pain.

The new design, are you kidding? Just drive it around long enough and they start falling off. I have three silver fenders off a 2000, all but the drivers side rear I think. Just throwing a number out but $50.00 for all three? You will need to buy new clamps for them, clamps are a one use item with those flares.

You could also find a set of stock TJ flares!!They're over 1 in. wider & open all kinds of possibilities for fender trimming!:scottm:

i would think of drilling and bolting them on so that they dont come off so easily. i havent examined the newer flares yet, but i would imagine you have at least enough room to get a self tapper in there

When I had mine, I tried and it really didn't work too well. What ones I was able to bolt up, looked like ass!

Thanks guys, been pissed all weekend. Have to digest what everyone said. There is no question these were ripped off. Tabs were bent, part of the "brackets" that bolt to the body were torn off. These didn't fall off. My neighbors '98 had his front 2 torn off as well. Stayed up Friday to see if they might return for wheels or other goodies, but it wasn't to be (no 12 gauge action).

Thanks again for the offers everyone. Finally able to look at my jeep again, not just through it. DS-Dewey, Popeye, pm'd Moab on his silver flares. For piece of mind I need something that already looks like the ones that were on there. It's an OCD thing.
