Wheel bearings going bad

I've been experiencing DW when i'm doing 65+ on the highway and hit a small bump and i'm pretty sure it is the wheel bearings wearing out in the front axle, b/c everytime i turn sharply i hear this squeaking noise as the tires rotate. But how can i know for sure that my wheelbearings are wearing out without taking it to a mechanic? How do i check for that?

jack it up and check for miovement from top to bottom and side to side

a little more info on the vehicle might be beneficial too.

when I got DW it turned out to be the track bar loose at the upper TRE. replaced that plus a new steering stabilizer took care of it. the squeaking may still be the bearings. they may also be the axle u-joints.

It's a 99 with about 123,000 miles on it with 5" lift on 31's. Also have a track bar relocator.
