A friend of mine gave me his 4.5" RE leaf springs, because I broke one of my 2.5" SkyJacker leaf's. I know at the 4.5" stage that there is may ways I can go from 4.5" of lift up to 6.5". What are everyones suggestions on this?
I was thinking maybe 5" lift but it seems like 33s are the way to go.
Deeper gears and lockers are on the way as soon as I begin working again.
All suggestions appreciated
Thanks

First, what rear axle do you have?

What are you doing up front? You can run short arms at 4.5", but you'll want long arms or DBs to go higher.

You can easily fit 33s on 4.5" with some trimming, and you will definitely want to regear it!

BTW, it sounds like you have a good friend!

I did warn him those leafs were beat hard, but they rode real nice. Extra leaf in one pack and 2 extra in the other (i made them from 2 RE 4.5" packs) to compensate for the extra weight i carried back then.

There is currently shims on that pack for about 5.5" of lift and an SYE, you probably need to pull those off.

Thanks Cal
Ill look into it maybe this weekend when I have some time.
