Stupid shock question

I was reading a post board and they were talking about their shocks being mounted up side down. How do you know if they are mounted upside down or not, and how does that effect the performance of the shocks? here is a pic of the way mine are mounted are they mounted correctly?

your fronts are the RE mono tubes and they are desigend to be ran that way. Front shocks can only be mounted one way if they are mounting in the stock locations. I can not see your rear shocks.

the rears are mounted in the same direction

Some shocks can be mounted inverted some cannot. My RE twin tubes were stamped with a "This Side Up ^", which meant the shock body was down and the piston up. My DT PreRunners can be mounted any way i want. If you aren't sure check the manufacturers website. -B
