TRE to heim adapter stud?

Ive seen one of the sites that had steering tre adapter studa tapered to fit stock knuckle taper and a 5/8" stud on the other end for heim joints any one remember the site?:dunno:

Nah, typically no one runs steering heims in double shear...there are a couple guys that have made some custom arms to do it, but it's not common.

That being said - the product pictures there looks TERRIBLE for what we'd use it for. Keep in mind that its specified application is "pinto". :eyes:
 
uh that would be for a pinto style knuckles on a street rod-made from chrommoly-----------------just a thoguht did ya see the chevy style that was offered as well-no comment there:kissyou:

Yeah, I guess you're right. Having a heim joint in single shear 3" away from the knuckle is a great idea.
 
Found these last night. bottom of the page, they make them for about any application.
