I just got an email from one of the club members about a possible closure of Anderson Creek OHV. Anybody heard anything? Where exactly is it at? Anybody been there? According to the email, it's somewhere close to Atlanta.

Oh sorry...you might be right. I wasn't thinking seasonally, I know Anderson Creek isn't and hasn't been open for quite some time so I thought you meant which ones were still usable.

Flat Rock is now FLAT??? Really...damn...I knew the day would come but wasn't sure when. What do you mean they "diverted" the creek? WTF...why can they not leave 1 freakin tree standing in this area. So when did this happen...I just talked to somebody last week who was still going out there on their ATV. Sucks...I was actually contemplating heading back out there once for old times sake.
Nope, don't know of anywhere else. I have just accepted that at the minimum, I have to drive to north GA to find anywhere cool. North Carolina if I want to actually go wheelin for more than about 1-2 miles.

Damn I use to go out there like every day 8 years ago. I was also thinking about heading out there just to see what it was like now.

Then the cops started running everyone out. My XJ buddy went out there last Sunday and she took some pics....

Looks like a place off 75 near Cartersville that we used to hit pretty often. I heard they were prepping it for a subdivision.

All these new neighborhoods being built and ............. no one can afford to buy the houses. Thats what they get for taking our wheel'n spots.

Speakin of powerline trials, does anyone know of any good ones around the general atlanta region anymore?

None of you really need to be riding out on the powerline trails unless it's your land or you're good friends with the people who own it. People like y'all are the reason that the greenies have so much ammunition to shoot down our legal wheelin' spots.

You are right, you shouldn't ride on private land. I just moved back from alabama, the last time I was wheeling in ga was at flatrock back in high school and it was a common spot for 4wheeling and never seemed to be that big a deal (lookin back probably cause I was in high school). Maybe I thought there was another common spot around here like that, but you are right riding on private land seems harmless at the time but creates a bigger problem in the long run,not to mention is irresponsible.
