4 Heater Fan switches in 3 weeks???

I have burnt up 4 heater control switches in 3 weeks... the plug to the switch is melted why is it melting the factory plug? The junkyard is running out of switches.... can I get a new plug from somewhere? will this fix it or is the blower motor heating the switch up?:smsoap:

I'd check the current draw on the blower motor before going any further, though usually when the motor gets that bad it will kill the resistor pack. So also check for a resistive or corroded contact on the plug itself that may be heating up the switch. You might find it preferable, if you do find the plug is bad, to chop it off and replace it with individual spade terminals.

what is the current draw supposed to be on the blower motor?

Less than 20 amps
