Snow Trac

Does anyone know where I can find any information regarding a trac type tire replacement. You take off the tire and replace it with a triangular looking trac. I dont know the official name for these items. Does anyone have any experience with this equipment?

not a problem for many, but also consider the fact that they weigh in at 1300lbs.....ouch

But they can get you through snow that tires won't.

Max speed 40mph! What? My XJ has 4.56 gears, lockers, 33's, and a lot of lift. The best part is that it can still cruise down the highway at 65mph.

However, if you want them then go get 'em. Its not my rig!

They have 3 to 1 reduction at the wheel so you with 4.56 could never see past 40. Also the 20,000 + price tag a bit much.

True, but you can ONLY use them off-road. They would be great in a area that gets tons of snow, but still not worth ~20K!
