High Idle Problem...

I have an 87 XJ and it only seems to occur when the engine is warm, but when the engine is running and the tranny is in Neutral or Park you can tell the engine is idling too high, I dont have a tach so I dont know exactly how high, but I am guessing aroung 3,000 rpm. Its an AMC jeep so everything is vaccum controlled, just wondering if this might play a role in my problem. Anyone else face this issue before, and how did you fix it? thanks for the help...
