Well after getting up at 3:00am to go to work in -45 with the windchill, to shovel out the 4 foot snowdrifts in front of the garage, I figured that has got to be the worst of it... Well when I left work I turned to go check on a house I am renovating and hear a nice loud clunk.. Clunk... suddenly no 4wd.
Damn shift fork (d30 disco). Well at least its sunny out. Then on the way back to town to stop by the dealer to see if by some miracle they might have a fork, a semi pulls out of a driveway right in front of me.:flamemad: :bawl:

Well as it sits in the garage. Drivable but sad

No ticket for either of us the officer said it was both our faults... now it is up to the insurance to duke it out.

Hard luck for ya. Let me know what you need for front end parts. I have pretty much everything you will need except the quarter panel. The front clip I have is white. Let me know.

Thanks Kim,

Insurance is covering this one though. They are even going to pick up a new JCR pre-runner bumper and replace my Hella spots, so... I guess I will get that new bumper after all.

Well got the old girl back from the shop today... Thanks to JCR for the new bumper. As far as it goes though, the shop that did the work were a bunch of ass hats. Grill on upsidedown, "couldn't figure out how" to install the unibody tie-ins for the bumper, overspray, poorly painted parts, and reused a bunch of screws and crap that I wouldnt have even done. Now on my list with installing new motor and tranny mounts will be to reinstall the bumper and "check" thouroughly what they did, or more importantly what they didnt do. Any how thanks for letting me rant. here the after shot.
