Great time at the 'Fest!
I asked several folks about some of the parts they used, and I would like to get more input.
1) Rock Sliders: I can see a use for those. ;-) I would like to know esp from Sniggs and Swifty088 (John) where you guys got yours from.
2) Lifts: Yes I am considering taking the Ultimate Trail Machine higher. Would like to know where you guys got your kits from, and if you like them or not. Not long arm just a "standard" 3.5"-4" kit.
Thanks, Karl

Great to see you have the bug!
Basic info:
3" lift will alow room for 31's. (probably wanting 4.10 gears)
4.5" lift will alow room for 32's (33's if they are narrow or you trim more than you have). (probably wanting 4.56 or 4.88 gears)
I personally recommend Rusty's or Rubicon Express. Both have served me well for lift parts.
If you are going to the expense of re-gearing I would definietly do the 4.5" lift. If you are looking more at the 31's and 3" of lift. Also consider OME, more money but incredible ride!!

Karl I would add to number One. I would also get every skid plate you could find. Front engine, LCA, tranny/tc, differentials, and gas tank.
I have DEEP gouges in all of my skids from this weekend. I used the heck out of them. And it is nice not to have to worry about every noise, and grind as you're wheeling. OEM skids are nice and cheap, but a little weak if you are going to play alot on the rocks. Both of mine are bent with just a couple trips on them.

I have the cheapy rough country 4.5" lift kit and love it. Super soft in the front. Rear leaves a lot to be desired though. (for me) I made a bastard pack out of dakota/cherokee/AAL springs and my dumbass kinda cut the front springs a little shorter than I would have liked. Now I'm just going to bring those springs in and have them military wrapped.
I run 33's and cut the hell out of my fenders and still rub pretty good in the front.
My sliders are Rusty's $275 ones. Wheeled once without them. Never again, the poor jeep couldn't take it. There's something like 27 mounting points for the Rusty's, that's what sold me.

Karl, Sniggs are form JCR customs. Stage 2 sliders.
Swifty's are from AJ's armor.
I would reccomend eithe one.
I had a 2" BB with the current 31's. I trimmed front and rear, so they wouldnt rub. Id say go for a RE 3.5", and possibly 33's with trimming and bumpstopping accordingly.

Id say go for a RE 3.5", and possibly 33x10.50 with trimming and bumpstopping accordingly. That might work. I ran a 3.5" with spacers and shackles for a long time. But even after trimming, 33x10.50 was all I could fit. They worked great (except for the snow, where they were merely adequate), even if they got made fun of for looking like pizza cutters.

I would recomend AJ's but the wait can get bad. You will have better luck with JCR if those are the choices you have narrowed it down to.
Lift I have is a 3.5" RE. To do it again, I would go 4.5. I also had to purchase parts from Tom Woods and decided to regear to 4.56's with my 32's

Thanks all for the input! My priorities are, besides new tires, getting more body armor. The lift will wait.
