Monache & Sherman Pass Jeep Trails?

Anyone have updates on these two trails?

Planning a family trip to get the kids out camping, and have heard zero on the 2006 status of these trails (or much else from the Sequoia/Inyo/Mono NF's since the route designation process began).

Can't give you any recent news...but I camped at "the spot" last September. The Manache road was all in good shape, but I didn't run Sherman.

Ed, our club and Porch Puppy's club opened Sherman up in late June........tough year, they cut down 25 trees on our side. Monache is open as usual, I just talked today to someone who was there fishing last weekend.
