Can anyone run me through mounting a CB Radio Bracket to the ceiling between the sun shades, should i drill a hole first, is the celing thick enough there....?

theres a bracket right above the windshield that has a space between it and the roof, theres plenty of room for a self tapping screw to go in there...thats where mine is

did you just use a powered screwdriver and push hard?

Drill a smaller hole and run in a self tapper.

Why dont you just use the holes and screws for the visors? thats how Ive got mine mounted. I made a bracket out of flatstock that spans between the visors and just drilled a couple holes in the flatstock for the visor screws and a couple for the CB bracket to rivet onto the flat bracket. That way I didnt have to drill any more holes in the roof or the headliner.

the mount without the headliner looks oddly familiar...just like mine to include the window sticker haha

i was just going to search for this picture to post, but since you already added it, now I don't need to
All I did was use a piece of aluminum and mounted to to where the visor clip mounts...very simple

excellent guys, thanks, anyone know off-hand the distance to center between the two holes, i can just measure it but if i can drill without leaving the warmth of the dorm first...
