Looking to purchase a dana 44 high pinion if anyone has one lying around they are wanting to get rid of. If you know of a junk yard that has a few of them, that would work also. This d30 is about to drive me nuts and has got to go. Thanks guys.

I was wondering when that was going to happen, going to go full width or waggy?

=) Yeah, it happened sooner than I thought it would. Lessons learned, right? Do your yards down there have anything that old?
I really don't know right now. I was thinking about going full width, but I still have that XJ D44 rear and I'd like to keep the front and rear sorta close in width. But full width will let me make tighter turns because I'll be able to take my turn stops out (I'm rubbing my control arms at full lock, so I can't make a full turn left or right) but if I go waggy, I'll need new rims anyhow, so I might just get a wider BS at that point. I guess it all depends on what I can find really.

I'll keep an eye out for one. Mine is finally coming together, got the inner C's welded on and the bridge worked out. I went waggy width because it seemed better, time will tell. Going to keep th FT arms or are you thinking of keeping the AFord radius arms (I ask because I see the cast mounts fairly regularly, not so with the welded ones)

I'ma heading down to my 'yard this weekend, probably Sunday. I'll take a look-see for ya. I know there are (were) a couple FSJ's there the last time I was down. They usually have a bunch of Ferd p/u's but they're mostly 2WD:( If I see one I'll let ya know. $89.95 plus $20 core charge (less calipers/rotors) is what they charge for any front axle.

Yep. There's two of them, owned by the same company. Pay $1 to get in and grab a wheelbarrow, pull off whatever you want. About 95% of my MJ came out of them.
One of them (the better one IMHO) is about 10 mins from my house, the other is up in Richmond about 25 min from me. I live at the very southern tip of Chesterfield Co.
C'mon up....I'll show ya around sometime

Yeah, I definately want the welded mounts and I am going to keep the FT arms. I'll take whatever I can get, but I don't think I'll be going with radius arms. You sure you can't cut the cast mounts off? Seems like if they were cast onto the tube, it wouldn't be a tube, ya know? I don't know, haven't had the time to take a look at any yet.

Decided not to go ford guys. Going LP Waggy D44. Less work, plus I'm going to rotate the pinion up anyhow, so it'll be sorta a mid pinion axle. The Nth degree slider will bolt up to it and protect the drive shaft, so yeah....LP waggy for me. Thanks for your help on the ford. Any ideas where I can snag a waggy 44 for cheap?
