same ? different wording

ok i have a god awful sound coming from the rear aof my xj its not the axle and its not the fuel pump it only makes the noise when i hit the gas traveling faster than 25 mph the noise can only be discribed as the most annoying sound that could ever eminate from a jeep its like you know how its sounds if you put a plasic card in the spokes of a bicycle only a lot louder and deeper what the f*$# is all can say at this piont:smoker: :flame: :smsoap:

Probably exhaust.Somewhere it has a very tiny leak.Does it soud like someone letting the air out a baloon?Kind of like a squelling air rushing sound.

negative nothing like air more like a buzzing hey remember croc dundee 2 when he was spining that boomerang thing sounds sumthin like that

could be your driveshaft, is it lifted?

sounds to me like a bad gear install.
my friends 8.25 did that after we did a drive way gear swap.

sorry it took so long to get back been taking apart the exuast just in case
to no evail anyway i am just gonna change the axle and see what happens
