thermostat ?

ok the rig starts cold no problem..... the upper rad hose does not heat up and then when the engine gets up to temp the motor quits. would this be a sign that the thermostat is stuck closed ? thanks for the help.

I would think so. Overheat a thermostat just once, and it's shot.

thanks alot ..... just hope thats all it is. The thing is that according to the guage on the dash it hasn't over heated that I know of. I had a small leak but didn't lose much fluid. then fixed so I don't know if it has over heated. Is it possable that the thermostat can get stuck any other way.
