I just wanted to stress how important seatbelts are. I know it sounds like some kind of movie you would see in drivers ed but they really do save peiple. Last night i rolled my dads 07 taco like 6 times and walked away with a sore leg and a cut knuckle. So next time someone hops in your heep make them put their seat belt on.

Gald you're alright.
I was the passanger in a Pointac 6000 and went for a similiar ride. I have no doubt in my mind that the seatbelt saved me. My worst injury was from the little bead on top of my ball cap. I had a hell of a knot on my head from when the roof collapsed and hit me on the head, right on that daymn bead thingy......daymn that hurt.:tears: I remember that I had glass where glass was not meant to be. Anyway, yeah, seatbelts a good.

Thats all well and good.
Now if the stupid Government would get out of my life and let me make the decision on whether I want to die or not...

well it's not that clear cut... then there's those idiots that don't put the seatbelt on and get badly banged up, need rescuing and care and the rest of the society ends up paying for 'em cause they didn't figure they need insurance either....

It's still Socialist Remi...no matter which way you look at it.
You, of all people I would think would see the value of getting the government out of our lives more.
If society doesn't want to pay for people doing stupid things then they should take cars, cell phones, airplanes, guns, water skis, dune buggys, atvs, horses, and butter knives away from everyone and make sure we are always wrapped up in a shiny plastic bubble.
Oh...BTW I always wear my seatbelt. Not because I am told to but because it is the smart thing to do.

The lil ball-cap buttuns on top are deadly... I think we should sue someone over them... I've had 2 break skin on my head from impacts to the cranium

I'll put it this way.. if we could leave folks to their own devices after they screw up, I'd say yeah, let them do whatever. Unfortunately their stupidity has a ripple effect. A person does not wear a seat belt.. ok it's their choice.. but.. what about the kids they leave behind? The unpaid debt that will never get repaid? There are way too many tie ins between people to allow for such freedom or anarchy. I agree that certain laws and rules are going overboard and are created to solve a people problem.
You make a reference that I should know.. Well, I was raised in a Commie country and I see benefits to both. I will actually go as far as saying that if people were not in charge socialism and communism are not a bad way to live.... but problem is that the people in charge are the ones that screw things up. Their greed and stupidity screws up the system..... anyways, that's a conversation for different time and place.

Yeah, they're in the wrong spot. They are just underneath the band of ear protection... so after a whole day at the range I had a sore spot... now I got a range hat that has been debutonized ;)

So moral of the story is wear your seatbelt and don't wear hats with the stupid button on the top of them! I always wear my seatbelt and anyone who wants to ride with me is wearing a seatbelt. If I just sit in my Jeep to play with the stereo while it is shut off and I am not even going to drive it I will sometimes put on my seatbelt just because it is natural.
I don't have any pictures but a group of my friends were in a bad high speed rollover accident in a Jetta. Two of my good friends were dead when the helicopter arrived, one of them was brought back to life and doing well today, neither had a seatbelt on. One other person was told she would never walk again and was in a wheel chair for a month and now she is fine, she was not wearing a seatbelt. One other friend was not wearing a seatbelt, he was pretty beat up and thrown from the car but he was not seriously injured. The driver who i don't know was wearing a seatbelt and was absolutely fine.
Sad story but wear your seatbelt!!!

The reason the 15 year old girl was driving was because everyone else besides her was drinking so they figured she would be the better driver..... wrong. I don't know what the heck the girl was thinking but she decided to do 80-90 mph on a 2 lane backroad and had never really driven before. I think she was trying to show off to the older guys. I think the 15 year old girl just got a slap on the wrist but the owner of the car which was the other girl took all the blame. Actually her parents are taking the blame and Steve's mom kind of went a little crazy and is filing a lawsuite against them even though they had nothing to do wit it. I guess money will bring their kid back or something?

I gotta side with DrMoab. Seatbelts should be worn by choice and not by law. Yes, it may be more costly with a bunch of crippled retards hanging around on our penny but freedom costs, it doesnt matter if its the freedom to own a firearm, the freedom to not wear a seatbelt, the freedom to travel unmolested, the freedom to own property or the freedom to wear the cloths we choose to, it all comes at a cost but its well worth it, in my opinion.

Having the fredom to not wear a seatbelt and actually not wearing your seatbelt is just plain stupid. Look at the facts. But also not wearing a helmet while riding a motorcycle is like signing a death wish and some states still allow it. I guess call it fredom to make a retarded decision!! My personal opinion on this.

Agreed. Freedom to make decisions, whether they be retarded or intellegent, is still freedom of choice either way. Im all for it.
I also wear my seatbelt, and did when it wasnt law. When I rode, I also wore a helmet when it wasnt law, but I will still defend the choice of those who choose not to wear these items.
