Stolen from another forum:

went up to trask today12-22-07 above flyng m through white gate.
gate was open and around 7 miles in easly 8-12 inches of snow and the old stompin grounds still look in good shape.

I think we need to go to Trask. :flame:

I am headed up to trask again today, made it to sherdian peak turn off of the road that runs out of carlton past the meat packing plant, probably 3+ feet up there was the farthest tracks in the past day or so as I was cutting new ones.

definately fun

I think wildcat road out by Sandy would be fun, they have alot more snow than that. At the lower elevations we were at there was 5 feet, can't make it to the top but there is probably quite a bit more than 5 feet.

only reason I play in trask, 10-15 minute drive from my house. too close to pass up snow.

I'm tired of the snow, someone melt it all. I wanna wheel Trask sans white stuff.

I think Trask is best saved for non-snow days. Really we can hit snow with a much shorter drive, like Josh said...maybe Wildcat...

I'd also like to see the Colton side of Goat...hey Rod, does that Jeremy guy know his way around that side? You knew him right?

I was just considering posting something like this the other day. I've never been there, but I've heard people talk about it a lot. I'm curious as to what it has to offer (established ORV area, or Goat Mt. mess around for an afternoon type area). Does that other board have a trip report?

I believe he's on here, registered as Onebig04dodge. Not sure how often he vists though.

Trask is described to have trails that are more difficult than Browns.

I haven't been there in a long time, but when I was the trails we were on were definitely pretty hairy.

it has decent trails, pain to drive around looking for them though, although depending where you go you can be in one area all day and not see the same thing twice. Fun stuff.
