front ds in rear

i know this has been covered a billion times but i want to be sure i dont make a mistake. i'll be getting a PORC sye soon and don't have the money for a new driveshaft right now so i'll be using a front DS. when i go to the junk yard what will i be looking for? what years will work, auto or manual, etc.

i have a 2001 with lp d30 and 8.25.

may be to long, how much lift you got

I just put a front DS on the rear of my '01 with the PORC SYE, 8.25 and BDS 4.5" lift. Works great. I forget if the 8.25 is shorter than the D-35 or not, but if it is I'd be concerned about the amount of extension at my lift hight.

Is yours Auto or 5spd? - it makes a difference. I had to get the DS stretched 2.5" to fit after my RE4.5" lift went in.
