Can you test an uninstalled ARB locker safely

You should be able to safely test it by applying the proper air pressure. You can't very well test how securely it holds this way though. It is a good way to test for leaks.

No need for oil if it's not spinning. I don't think you could apply enough torque to the unit if it's not installed to tell how well it's holding.splitz said:Can't I just jam axle shafts in there and twist
Ok, that's what I thought. I just wanted to make sure by doing this it wouldn't blow up cuz it isn't bathed in oil or anything.
