I just got a code of 15 on my 97 jeep xj 4.0L


What does it mean?

There was a post a while ago that had all of the OBD codes on it i searched and could not find it..:doh:

Please help.

Get the "P" code, and I can tell you what you want to know.

take it to a autozone they will scan it for free and tell you. i dont have my FSM around (its in the shop) or id look it up for you

I think 15 is 15 "No speed/distance sensor signal"

ya that would think that this is it because I just put a sye on and I forgot to hook up the speedo sensor.

The "P" codes are powertrain codes - for OBD-II. Good if you've got a 1996-up, but not so much for a 1991-1995XJ...
